Snap Receipt

Privacy & your scans

Policy version: 2026-10-12

On your device

Snap Receipt saves drafts, pending documents, your selected inbox, and delivery history in this browser. These scanner files are not protected by your main BillNest profile password. Use your own trusted device. Clearing site data removes local copies; download or send documents first.

In your Google Drive

When you connect Google and send a scan, the document is uploaded directly from your device into a Snap Receipt folder in your own Google Drive. BillNest requests access to files and folders it creates or that you explicitly authorize, rather than all of Drive. Your Google account address and folder identifiers identify the destination. A file fingerprint and review status help prevent duplicate uploads and show delivery progress.

Your business records

The scanner does not transfer your BillNest login, customer list, or full bookkeeping profile. Text recognition and review happen locally in the main BillNest app. Scans only enter financial records after your approval. Use BillNest Cloud sync, once activated, or an encrypted backup to move the full profile between devices.

Connection & hosting

Google access tokens are kept in memory while the app is open; they are not written to local storage or BillNest servers. BillNest servers do not receive your uploaded scan contents. The website host and Google may process ordinary connection information such as your IP address to deliver their services.

Remove your information

Remove a pending scan or clear delivery history in Snap Receipt. To remove sent files, delete them in Google Drive and use Google’s trash controls. Disconnecting the inbox does not delete Drive files. Revoke BillNest’s connection in your Google Account permissions to stop further access. Local business records and their backups must be managed separately in BillNest and your saved folders.

Google user data

BillNest uses Google data only to deliver, retrieve, and track the scans you request. It does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general AI models. Use of Google API data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Using the scanner

Keep a copy of important documents and check that an upload is confirmed before removing the original. OCR suggestions may be inaccurate; verify dates, amounts, taxes, and document ownership before saving records. Direct Drive delivery requires a working internet connection and Google permission.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Using the scanner requires explicit agreement to the terms. The receipt stays in this browser. Existing local file downloads remain available without agreement. The full Privacy policy also explains support, hosting and legacy records.
